How to play guess the song
Muzify plays a few seconds of a real recording and you name the song. A classic round goes like this:
- Pick an artist. The quiz is built from that artist's own songs, so every clip you hear is one of theirs.
- Press play. You get five seconds of the track, and the clip stops whether you are ready or not.
- Choose the title from four options before the timer runs out. Then the next clip starts.
Sign in and your score goes on that artist's leaderboard, next to everyone else who played them.

Classic artist rounds
This is the main game, the one described above. Start from the guess the song hub for popular artists, or look anyone up in the A to Z artist quizzes.
Muzify Daily
Muzify Daily is one song a day, and every player gets the same one. You start with a single second of audio. Each wrong guess or skip unlocks more: 2 seconds, then 4, 7, 11 and finally 16. You get six tries, you type your answer, and from the fourth try the artist's name is shown.
One second only
Some people only count it if they get it from the first second. Guess the song in 1 second covers that format and how the Daily's one-second opening works.
With friends
Clash is how you play guess the song with friends. Play a round on an artist, send your friend the challenge link, and they take on the same artist. Whoever names more songs wins.
By genre
If you would rather pick a sound than a name, browse quizzes by genre. Good places to start are hip-hop and rap, pop, K-pop, J-pop, R&B and soul, alternative, rock and country.

Is Muzify free to play?
Yes. Every quiz runs in your browser and there is nothing to download or pay to start. Signed-in players get 20 free artist quiz plays a day, and an optional monthly subscription removes that cap.
Do I need an account to guess the song?
No. You can play your first quiz without signing up. An account saves your scores and puts you on the artist leaderboards, and you need one to send a Clash challenge to a friend.
How long is the song clip?
Five seconds in the artist quizzes and in Clash. Muzify Daily is different: it starts on one second and the clip gets longer with every miss, up to 16 seconds on your sixth try.
Is there a daily song game like Heardle?
Yes, Muzify Daily. There is one new song a day, the same one for every player, and it changes at midnight UTC. You type your guesses and get six tries, with the clip growing from 1 to 2, 4, 7, 11 and 16 seconds.
Can I play guess the song with friends?
Yes, with Clash. Play a round on any artist, send your friend the challenge link, and they play the same artist. Whoever gets more songs right wins, and if you tie, the faster time takes it.
Is guess the song unlimited?
Muzify Daily is one song per day. Artist quizzes are free up to 20 plays a day, and the monthly subscription makes them unlimited.
